After years of waiting, wondering, and wishing, the City of Horicon received the message they’ve been hoping to hear: the Highway 33 reconstruction project will be a definite go in 2009. The message that Governor Jim Doyle signed off on the $6.5 million project on January 6 was delivered late last week to Horicon DPW/Utilities Supervisor Dave Magnussen.
The news couldn’t have come at a better time. On Wednesday, January 7, the Horicon Chamber of Commerce held its annual general membership meeting with the Wisconsin DOT’s Project Development Engineer Karla Knorr and Project Development Supervisor Kurt Johnson as its guest speakers for the evening.
